Access Solutions - Winners of Yorkshire's Got Talent 2014
We are delighted to announce that Access Solutions are the winners of the Yorkshire's Got Talent Award 2014 - a 'Dragon's Den-style' competition for start-up businesses in the region.
There were approximately 200 businesses entering this year's competition and, of those, eighty were selected for the next stage. Then, after an interview stage, entries were whittled down to just four Finalists.
Yorkshire-based entrepreneur, Angie Aspinall pitched on behalf of Access Solutions explaining the business as, "a B2B enterprise which aims to transform the hospitality industry's offer to guests with hearing loss via specialist equipment, training on customer service and deaf awareness and the introduction of an industry charter mark."
Angie didn't shy away from speaking about her own disability whilst pitching to the prestigious panel of judges which included Phil Taylor Gluck (competiton founder and serial entrepreneur), Lawrence Tomlinson from Ginetta and Yorkshire sales guru and inspirational speaker, Nicky Pattinson in front of an audience of entrepreneurs and new start up business owners as part of Kirklees Business Week. (Unfortunately, fellow Director, Julie Leggett was unable to attend the event due to a family illness.)
The businesses was primarily looking for assistance with the costs of marketing materials to enable them to have a presence at the key hospitality trade shows in 2015.
Angie says, "We're looking forward to meeting with Phil to discuss what the Winner's support package from PTG Group looks like and to see how he can help us in our first year of trading."
